COG in Poland

Our history reaches as far as the 80ties. There was The Miriam Fellowship operating in Cracow, Poland as a part of the Catholic Charismatic Movement. Through close relations with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students
a group of sincere believers formed within this fellowship.

The whole Miriam Fellowship was forced to leave the Catholic Church in the 1991. A the same time God has spoken to pastor Wojtek Wloch saying: “build a church.”

Ever since the group of around 50 people have been meeting in over twenty various places around Cracow, Poland. Meetings have been hold in such places as parks and public squares very often since no one in Cracow wanted to rent a place to the free church.

Very often the group was removed from the places of worship due to the pressure of the Catholic priests.

A few churches were formed like these all across Poland. In the year 2000 we decided to join together and we became a federation of autonomic churches.

There are nine churches and two mission outreaches incorporated in the federation at the moment.

In the year 2003 all the churches joined in the federation unanimously decided to join the International Church of God from Cleveland, Tennessee. Now, we are a part of over 7-million members family that operates in over 170 countries of the world.
